HJC FRS Multi-Sport Intercom

Most riders have a lot of questions when looking for the perfect HJC intercom for their specific needs. HJC intercom options are numerous today, allowing each rider to get the right intercom system for them. With new options in Chatterbox intercoms, riders can be confident they are getting the best system available. One of the most popular HJC intercoms today is the HJC FRS Multi-Sport. This intercom system is durable and can be used almost anywhere. It does only have two channels, so it is best used in places like the woods with an ATV or snowmobile however.

One of the biggest questions you may have when looking at the HJC FRS Multi-Sport unit is if you can use it off road. This particular unit is perfect for off road use. It has a two mile range, which makes it easy to communicate off road. Like most other intercom systems offered by this company, the HJC FRS Multi-Sport unit is extremely durable, so you can take it off road without needing to worry about its condition. One complaint off road riders do have about using this model is that you cannot get noise reducing microphones for it, making it sometimes difficult to hear. If you are using an ATV, this will not be a problem however.

If you want your passenger to be able to be hooked into your intercom system, then you will need to purchase a separate headset and headset extension cord. This system can be used as a radio and an intercom. The HJC FRS Multi-Sport has the option of open or private communication which is nice. Your passenger will also be able to hear any audio you hear, so they can be clued into any information as well.

If you are concerned about riding in different weather elements, you will be pleased to know that this particular model is water resistant. It however is not waterproof. The unit does well in rain but you should not keep the radios in the rain for extended periods of time. The main difference in being water resistant and waterproof is that the radio can stand being wet, but it should never be completely submerged or be left out in the rain unnecessarily. If you want to ride in the rain, then consider placing the unit in your pocket and using an extension cord. This will keep your radio from becoming damaged and you can ride as long as you’d like.

If you are looking for a basic HJC intercom system that is great for ATV and snowmobile use, then the HJC FRS Multi-Sport system is perfect for you. The system is basic, yet provides quality service to its users. It is affordable and extremely durable. It is great for the rider who does off road riding in wooded or country areas. The fact that it is water resistant is great for off roaders who like to get a little messy during their rides. Overall, the HJC FRS Multi-Sport system is a great one to purchase.
